Tail Gate Markets!!

This is not only a frugal tip, it is ALSO a GREEN one!! What are tailgate markets? They are small farmers markets comprised only of local growers - so less fuel is used in the transport of the products AND it's FRESHER!!!! Look for them in your area - I found a number of them in mine by doing a simple internet search.
